Reflecting on Last Year’s Wellness Journey to Chart a Course for the Year Ahead

We’re Angela and Deena, friends who first met in high school back in the ‘90s, when big hair and bright clothes were all the rage. Our bond grew even stronger as we both faced the life-changing challenges of cancer—Angela with her breast cancer diagnosis in 2008, and Deena with her son’s battle against bone cancer in 2010, which he, unfortunately, lost two years later.

These experiences made us rethink our lives and commit to a healthier future for ourselves and our families. We realized that lasting change doesn’t come from drastic measures, but through small, everyday adjustments that gradually build healthier habits.

At Everyday Road to Healthy, we’re sharing the simple, practical steps we’re taking to transition from healthy to healthier. As we move through midlife and beyond, these changes become even more important. Some things will change, and others will stay the same, but we believe every step on this journey is worth it.
